On January 24, the Sambo Grand Prix World Cup was held in Budapest, where Mihály Szabó Tas, a BSc student in electrical engineering at our faculty, represented our university with outstanding results.
He took first place in the 64 kg weight class and second place in the 71 kg weight class in the adult category, proving his preparedness and perseverance in the international field.
The special atmosphere of the competition was further enhanced by the fact that several of his university classmates were there to cheer him on, so the well-known supportive spirit of the Kandó community was evident not only in the arena but also in the stands.
