If you have studied in another university previously and have completed courses which have a corresponding course in your new curriculum at Obuda University, then you can ask to have your previous studies accredited here, ie. you get credit and grade for the subject.
Upon transfer or admission to our university, accredited subjects can only be accepted once, at the time of enrolment. This is no longer possible later in the study period.
The deadline for submitting the request will be indicated in the letter of decision of your application to our university. The deadline is usually 15 August (for September start) and 15 January (for a February start). Submissions after the deadline can not be accepted. Also, you have to personally sign the form!
Send the signed request form, the transfer table, the transcript of records and the course description of each completed subject by e-mail to the study coordinator.
We can only accept certified (signed, stamped) descriptions in English or Hungarian language. Subjects must be completed at the same academic level as you are applying to (BA/BSc applied to BA/Bsc, MA/MSc applied to MA/MSc).
If the Committee accepts your request, there will be a fee of 1000 HUF/subject. The fee will be calculated by your study coordinator and you can pay it in the Neptun online system.
You can find the forms here:
Help for filling the forms:
Usually, a course can be accepted if it has a similar credit number and mostly the same topics as our relevant course.
According to university regulations, there is a minimum of 75% match needed between the two subjects in the course description in order to be accepted.
You should fill in the request form meaningfully. If you don’t know your Neptun code yet, skip it, we will include it for you.
Don’t forget to sign the form. It can not be accepted without your signature.
