Transfer requirements

When applying for a transfer to our university, students must comply with the regulations applicable to their specific funding status.

For scholarship holders (e.g., Stipendium Hungaricum), the transfer procedure must fully comply not only with the University’s requirements but also with the rules set by the Tempus Public Foundation. All obligations and submission deadlines are determined by the applicable scholarship regulations.

For self-financed students, the transfer process follows the University’s internal regulations and the provisions of the Act on National Higher Education (Nftv.).

During the evaluation of a transfer request, the student’s academic records (GPA) is also taken into consideration.

Transfer from another Hungarian higher education institution

  • minimum 30 completed credits at the sending Hungarian institution
  • certificate of active student status (issued within 30 days), confirming that the student is not under dismissal
  • Transcript of Records

Applicants currently studying at a foreign higher education institution

Students who are enrolled at universities outside Hungary must undergo the official admission procedure instead of a credit-transfer-based process. Admission requirements depend on the level of studies and programme-specific criteria.

Further information on recognition of foreign qualifications and admission procedures will be provided during the application process.
